Call, Text and Chat Line - Peer Support Volunteer (In-Person)
Sagesse is looking for passionate, driven volunteers living across Alberta who are interested in providing peer support to individuals impacted by domestic abuse. This volunteer position works on the Sagesse call, text and chat line. For the in-person Sagesse Line role, you will: > Respond to incoming calls, texts, and chats, and appropriately direct them to the right staff or program. > Provide accurate information about Sagesse and the peer-support programs we offer. > Offer compassionate, peer-based emotional support to individuals who choose to share parts of their story. > Assist with client support and related tasks as directed by staff. This position is based in person at the Sagesse office.
Additional Details & Skills Required
All Sagesse Line peer support volunteers will be provided a minimum of 20 hours of training and ongoing supervision and support
