Volunteer Ambassador (Halton Region)

Volunteer Ambassadors play a pivotal role in community engagement, actively promoting Links2Care programs and services, and the importance of volunteerism. Volunteers in this role would attend community events such as farmers markets, cultural events, community gatherings, etc. to represent Links2Care and connect with community members.

As a volunteer in this role, you will...
- Pick up and drop off supplies at Links2Care offices (signs, brochures, marketing materials, etc.).
- Set up and clean up at events, and stay for the duration of the event time. 
- Engage in friendly conversation with community members, discussing Links2Care programs, services, and volunteer opportunities.
- Follow up with the Volunteer Coordinator regarding any community member questions, concerns, and overall outcomes of the event.
- Be comfortable carrying Links2Care material and equipment as needed (not exceeding 50lbs).
- Be available to attend a minimum of 3 events throughout the year. Volunteers can choose which events they will attend.
- Be expected to use your own vehicle to attend events / pick up and drop off materials.
- Be expected to complete volunteer work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Build meaningful connections and help support our local community!

Please note that this volunteer opportunity is in-person, and the volunteer must be able to commute in the Halton Region (Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Georgetown, and Acton).

Volunteers are expected to report any unusual condition or concern, maintain calmness in an emergency, and assist in a crisis as needed. Volunteers will follow Links2Care Code of Conduct, Client Confidentiality and Human Rights Act, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Valid Ontario Drivers License
