Friendly Visiting Training for Cantonese Speaking Volunteers Starting on Monday, April 27, 2026 to Visit Cantonese Speaking Seniors

Our organization Jewish Seniors Alliance provides training and educational opportunities for  volunteers to best prepare them to visit and help seniors.

Volunteers must live in Vancouver.

Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
To engage and reduce the isolation and loneliness of Cantonese speaking seniors by  visiting seniors in their homes or  going out for  walks or for coffee to  provide social engagement.  Volunteers will be given a six day training in friendly visiting and receive a certificate in friendly visiting.  The training is being offered at no cost.
The training consists of six sessions,  five on Zoom and the sixth session is in person.
 starting Mondays and Wednesdays, April 27, 2026, 530 pm-830 pm
