Education Advisor

As an Education Advisor for Lumina Tech, you will be representing the school as a front-facing ambassador promoting our school & courses and connecting with potential students, parents and communities. By doing this, you will be directly contributing to our mission of ensuring kids have the understanding and proficiency in technology that will help them be independently capable and succeed in the modern world. Accountabilities: Promotional Outreach: Actively promoting our cybersecurity and AI programs through various channels, including online platforms, community events, school partnerships, and targeted outreach initiatives Networking & Relationship Building: Starting and growing relationships with potential students, parents, educators, and community organizations to spark interest and find potential students Lead Generation & Nurturing: Identify and qualify potential students or parents of students, by understanding their values and wishes for their children, providing easy-to-digest information about our programs, and guiding them through our qualification and application process, or passing them over to someone on the team who can guide them Market Research: Observing, inquiring about, and gathering feedback from potential students, parents, and communities, then sharing your insights about these to inform the team about market trends, patterns, mistaken assumptions, and improvements we can make to our approach, courses, customer experience, and other areas Reporting: Keeping accurate records of your outreach activities, people you contacted, and leads; also submitting regular reports on your relevant activities, challenges, and accomplishments during your working hours Requirements: English language fluency Experience in direct marketing, sales, education, or a related field Interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to articulate information with empathy, clarity, and conciseness Openness to ask for help or clarification whenever anything is uncertain or uncomfortable Ideals: A passion for education and a strong belief in the importance of technology literacy for youth. Familiarity with using Notion Self-driven and confident in your own capabilities, or a willingness to ask for reassurance to overcome fears Located in BC, but not restricted. Ideally has experience with Canadian schools and is able to accommodate for the PST time zone.
