Art Vancouver, Western Canada’s most prestigious international art fair, is celebrating its 10th edition in 2026. Produced by the Vancouver Visual Art Foundation (VVAF), the fair brings together reputable galleries and artists from across Canada and around the world in a world-class setting at the Vancouver Convention Centre West.

We are currently seeking 5 Volunteer Coordinators to help lead and organize our volunteer team of approximately 100 volunteers for the event.

Role Overview

Volunteer Coordinators play a key leadership role in the success of Art Vancouver. This position involves pre-event planning as well as on-site coordination during the fair.

You will work closely with the Art Vancouver team to:
Organize volunteer roles and schedules in advance
Communicate with volunteers prior to the event to confirm availability and assignments
Assist with volunteer onboarding, orientation, and on-site direction
Ensure volunteers are supported, informed, and placed where needed throughout the event
Help manage daily check-ins, shift changes, and overall volunteer flow
Preparation begins in advance of the event, so strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Comfortable communicating with large groups
Punctual and well-presented
Calm and adaptable in a fast-paced event environment

A background or interest in art, events, hospitality, or event management is an asset, but not required.

Requirements
Must be 18 years or older
Must speak fluent English
Available for pre-event coordination and all event dates (May 27–31, 2026)
Comfortable working on-site at the Vancouver Convention Centre West
